Very Portuguese and the best you can ask for! All four of us ordered the Garlic Steak and it didn’t disappoint!
Great little family run restaurant. Amazing steak with garlic sauce and boiled potatoes. The sauce was so delicious that my wife dipped her Sea Bass (also delicious) and broiled potatoes in it. The dinner for 3 with beer, wine and appetizers was under 50 euros. A wonderful gem of a place. No credit cards.
Very traditional, excellent quality food, great value and friendly service by a local owner. Fish is always perfect!
We had a fantastic meal here, our final night in Portugal after a month of traveling. Our server recommended the sea bream and he was absolutely correct. So fresh and deliciously prepared! Service was delightful and friendly, and for what we ate, very inexpensive.
We were lucky to hear of this nice restaurant from a local person. The food was the best we had in a long time, since we were getting so tired of what we call “tourist food” while in Spain. Seems like a family run place and the cooks are checking in with the senior lady for approval of things. Nice experience and great introduction to delicious Portuguese food. Cash only.
Authentic Portuguese family restaurant. Arriving at 7pm the place was empty but started filling up after that. The decor seemed to be in original shape and form, which fitted well with the unique atmosphere. The was no rush, yet the service was smooth and friendly. I suppose the locals appreciate this restaurant. We had grilled sardines and were happy with freshness and taste of this menu option.
It's a cozy, family run restaurant. It has ambiance. The food is great and they have specials every day. One of our favorite dishes was the roasted duck with rice. The Bacalhau ( Cod Fish ) a brás was delicious. They have excellent Portuguese home made desserts. The family that runs Mimosa is very friendly and warm. We enjoyed our meals there many times.
Typical Portuguese restaurant, already with a long existing in Caldas and always very well known. It is a good option when you look for portuguese real food. The place is already old-fashioned and not refurbished, but maybe that is part of the charm. The food is quite nice with a typical menu. Dishes like sardinhas, cozido and frequent options. The staff is very friendly and make a good job. Usually very crowded because it has become a trendy spot between the people in town. But for sure is recommended. Prices are ok. No cards are accepted, only cash, so be prepared.
